I would like to use today’s post to honor Senator Ted Kennedy for his magnificent contribution to the well being of all Americans. His dedication to the essence of human rights, civil rights, health care for all, encouraging others to volunteer and support those less fortunate and so much more – is a legacy and an opportunity for all of us to reflect on our own contribution to making someone else’s life better.

As a dual citizen of both Canada and the United States many—including my own family in the US—have benefited and will continue to benefit from his contributions and fight to give each person the rights, dignity and opportunities that he was so fortunate to have himself. I hope that his legacy will be the fuel that reminds all of us, that each and every day we can do something that can enhance the life of someone else. It is not the high profile things that count—but rather the thoughts and actions we direct towards someone other than ourselves. This will ensure that we all support a world we can all be proud to belong in.

Much gratitude and thanks Senator Ted Kennedy. I look forward to doing my part in continuing the legacy you leave all of us.
