We are currently drafting a strategic plan for a consumer goods company and I mentioned just this morning that coupons, in this new economy, are definately worth giving attention. I must note that to some financial savvy people they were always important. Check out the http://www.couponmom.com/. Her site provides coupons for anything and everything that you could think of. Who doesn’t want to honor their almighty dollar by getting the best deal you can for the products and services you need and use?

With the growing trend of iCrime—where iPods have become such a “must have” item that kids/teens are willing to beat the crap out of each other for them—a philosophical question has been raised. Do companies that have done TOO good a job of making their product the “latest and greatest” (Apple in this case) share some responsibility for any resulting “negative brand evangelism”?
