    Do You Know How Your Customer Likes to Communicate?

    I read a great article today that I am going to SHARE with you at the end of this post. It talks about brand promise vs brand experience. Social media as we all know – has now broadened the net for reach and allows not just a brand, but anyone to SHARE anything their hearts desire and have it spread like wildfire by leveraging social media tools. Many businesses are finally waking up to the power of these tools and better yet -  it is the customer that is now driving much of the power – by being able to clearly articulate and SHARE with those that will listen, to their wants, needs and benefits of doing business with them. In return the business in question must be able to not only listen – but stand tall on what their brand promise, product, service and value is and stay true to their word.     Online Spending Continues to Rise – A Graphic Worth a Million Words!

    There are many retailers that are still not online. Many claim they are not ready. Some are dabbling—but even the dabblers are unsure of how to truly leverage the success that can be attained. A few weeks ago I attended a launch at a major retailer. They have done a 360 degree turn in their brand offering and are certainly looking to expand their old reputation for a new contemporary one in order to attract a broader more modern customer. At the launch, they had some laptops sitting out with the idea that people could go and tweet from the event at the computer stations. Great intentions but from my perspective here are some ideas about how they could have kicked it out of the park.

    Bill Gates Joined Twitter a Week Ago – How About You and Your Business?

    Not sure if you heard but Bill Gates joined Twitter and already has 300,000 followers. I have been on Twitter for a year and we have about 1170 followers which is pretty good, as I like to read most of my tweets throughout the day and that is a lot of info to go through and absorb.

    Domino’s Pizza is Getting it Right!

    I was chatting with a new client today about social media and how it can be utilized to elicit a positve and engaging response from your customers—especially when they are uphappy. In our discussion, we talked about companies who are getting it right—and Domino’s pizza came to mind for us both. Have you seen their recent TV spot about how they say that customers complained that their crust was like cardboard and their sauce had no taste.” They continue on to mention how they were listening and have made changes to those EXACT things! Bravo Domino’s. Well it gets better…
