We are working on all sorts of digital projects these days—many of them are contests—with the plan to build a fan base, so they can begin to engage and connect with their clients one-on-one. As we continue to guide and educate our current clients with social media strategies and execution – we are always trying to sell new clients who have yet to really get engaged. As a women owned and run business – I always use the analogy that social media is a natural for women. It is focused on how we communicate. We like to tell stories and share our ideas. If we have a great experience we want the world to know and when we don’t we want the world to to know that too. Read the rest of this entry »
When we created SHARE, it was founded on a basic idea: that as successful, bright, creative women who are key influencers and decision makers for point of purchase (across so many categories and channels), we could really make a difference with our knowledge, based on who we are and the clients we work with. One of the reasons we focus on social media, is because of the ease in which we understand the parallel between social media and the way women naturally connect and engage with one another. Of course, we’re always clear that what is good for women is GREAT for men. Read the rest of this entry »
There has been a lot of talk about women and the work force this week. Maria Shriver came out with a report called “A Woman’s Nation,” co-sponsored by the Center for American Progress. This report took a look at the condition of American women today. This is the mega million dollar question. We don’t need to mention the stats. All businesses are now re-analyzing their marketing mixes and plans to find out who really is their target market. The problem is (as mentioned in a meeting earlier this week) what happens if we market to women and we find out—through our research and analysis—that our target market is really men or a higher percentage of men? What do we do then? Read the rest of this entry »
We all have a story. I always ask new customers “what is your story and is it being told?” Many times most businesses, brands, products and services begin with their story and then get caught up and forget how it impacts the value—they forget who the brand is targeting and lay that story to rest. In the “new world economy”, as I like to call it, your story is integral. It’s what draws potential evangelists and creates a connection that gives you permission to share with them. And in turn, they’ll share your story with others. Read the rest of this entry »
As a women owned and run company, we certainly pride ourselves on the unique fact that—as women—we have a deeper insight into this highly important target market. We do not forget, by any means, the modern person, family or man, of course. The beauty of marketing with intelligence and respect is that men benefit too! Read the rest of this entry »
I have a one word answer. Women. The Economist suggests that women in the West are responsible for more than 80% of purchase decisons. That means they are purchasing in every product category—regardless of what many stereotypes suggest. That means not just great bags and shoes, but consumer electronics, cars and their maintenance and parts. That means the “traditional boy toys” are now the domain of the woman purchaser or decision maker that will decide what “boy toy” to buy! Read the rest of this entry »
